PEOPLE’s ACTION FOR SOCIAL SERVICE (PASS)

PASS is a community driven organization working for the marginalized sections in Tirupathi and Chittoor districts of Andhra Pradesh, India with a perspective Vision and Mission. Our Board of trustees are the strong pillars for the institution, mentoring the development at each and every stage.

OUR FAMILY

A team of people with different experience and diverse backgrounds came under PASS Umbrella and are rendering the services towards the vision and mission of the organization development. People from different backgrounds, different level of education, different experiences walked into PASS family and are serving the marginalized sections with one aim and goal of PASS. We at our institute follow democratic policy, every one is having free movement to implement and execute the projects. Our committed team consist of managerial professionals, accountants, social workers, psychologists, special educators, philanthropist, consultants and volunteers with multifarious experiences. Congenial environment is created among the team members. Every year annual meet is organized at the central level, talents are exhibited and encouraged, sharing of experiences and best practices are appreciated and personally rewarded. The team members are capacitated at national and international levels promoting them to participate in workshops, seminars and conferences for delivering the services as per the project design.

Vision:

The vision of PASS is to obtain sustainable, self – reliant Holistic well being communities for the marginalised sections by uplifting socio-economic, health empowerment.

Mission:

Promoting and facilitating to improve the socio-economic health needs through good governance, internal sharing, collectivisation and capacity building.

Objectives:

1. To Assist, empower the people make them understand self – reliance and equip them to work for themselves for their own human dignity and destiny.
2. To assist in the process of social integration and personal realisation of underprivileged children, young people, adults and families to attain Conscientisation.
3. Promoting awareness, capacity building training programs to the targeted communities to upgrade their knowledge levels and skills
4. To promote all types of socio- economic, health activities those are aimed at the integral development of persons and communities.
5. To devise and mediate the schemes and projects , help them to implement and attain self – sustainability
6. To encourage, popularise voluntary work and Internship.

Geographical Areas :

Andhra Pradesh, Coverage Districts: Chittoor, Cuddapah, Ananthapur, Kurnool, Nellore – Coverage Blocks : 66 Mandals, Municipal Corporations, Municipalities in Chittoor District and few blocks in neighbouring district mandals / blocks. Coverage Villages:70% of Villages in Chitoor District and very few villages in neighbouring district mandals.

Thematic areas :

Women Empowerment, Community Development, Water and Sanitation Health and Hygiene, Children Health and Education, Geriatric Care / Senior Citizens, Awareness programs and capacity building trainings. Targeted beneficiaries: Vulnerable down trodden sections of the targeted areas, Women, children, Elderly persons, Drug De addicts, Female sex workers irrespective of caste, creed, sex and religion. Current Projects of the NGO: Family counselling centre, Shakti Sadan (Short stay home), Mentally Retarded school, Old age homes, Drug De addiction centre, Targeted Intervention – HIV/AIDS (Female Sex Workers)

PASS Policies:

PASS incorporated policies in the management process from the inception itself. PASS adopted and following HR, Finance, Gender, Children, High risk people policies. Policies and decisions are made collectively by the Executive committee and the staff, executed accordingly.

Credibility Norms:

PASS follows all the rules and regulations, Norms designed during the time of registration. The Executive and advisory body ensures good governance internally and externally. PASS envisages that good governance is established and executed at the targeted communities. The Governance credibility systems are executed, administered and monitored by the PASS highly qualified experienced professional General Secretary.

Future Technology

PASS future planning is scaling the services, mapping the problems, adopt E-Governance management system, mobilise and explore additional resources for stretching the supportive hand towards integrated activities and to reach the unreached
